Crime Report

 

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 10/11/13, 2000 block of N. Wilson Boulevard. On October 11 at 2:11am, a victim reported being assaulted by three unknown subjects and having his cell phone and wallet stolen. The subjects were described as three white males. No further suspect information is available at this time.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 10/10/13, 900 block of N. Ivy Street. On October 10 at 3:02am, a female suspect assaulted her boyfriend after an argument escalated. She also destroyed some of his property. Kathy Dowdy, 41, of Arlington, VA was arrested for malicious wounding and destruction of property. Dowdy was arrested and held without bail.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 10/13/13, 3200 block of S. Columbia Pike. On October 13 at 2:17am, a victim reported that upon exiting a bar he was attacked from behind on the sidewalk. The victim did not see who struck him or how many attackers there were. He was allegedly struck with either a bat or a stick and sustained a large laceration to the back of his head. He was transported to Virginia Hospital Center. There is no suspect(s) description.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 10/12/13, 4300 block of N. Carlin Springs Road. On October 12 at 10:55am, a 16 year-old subject assaulted his mother and struck her in the head with a frying pan after she refused to let him use her Kindle. The suspect also smashed the Kindle against the wall and spit in her face. The suspect was charged with malicious wounding and destruction of property.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 10/10/13, 2700 block of N. Clarendon Boulevard. On October 10 at 7:07pm, a victim reported a suspect masturbating outside of a hair salon. The suspect is described as a white male, between 45 and 55 years of age, approximately 5’7”, and about 150 pounds. The suspect had shoulder length brown hair, but was bald on the top of his head. At the time of the incident, he was wearing blue jeans, brown boots, a black belt and a green jacket.

BURGLARY, 10/09/13, 1100 block of S. Arlington Ridge Road. Between 10:30 am and 11:24 am on October 9, a victim’s purse was allegedly stolen from her residence. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 10/11/13, 2400 block of N. Tuckahoe Street. On October 11 at 9:15pm, a victim reported that an unknown suspect(s) had broken into their home through a rear patio door and stole several items of jewelry. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 10/13/13, 6700 block of N. Washington Boulevard. On October 13 at 3:15pm, a victim reported that his residence had been burglarized but at the time of the report did not know if anything had been stolen. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 10/14/13, 1500 block of N. Clarendon Boulevard. Between 6:00 pm on October 13 and 5:52 am on October 14, an unknown suspect(s) broke into a Starbucks restaurant by breaking through the patio glass door. It was unknown at the time of the report if any items were stolen. There is no suspect(s) description.

BURGLARY, 10/15/13, 2200 block of N. Pershing Drive. On October 15 at 10:50 am, a business owner reported that their business was entered and a safe was stolen. The investigation is currently ongoing and there are no suspects at this time.
