Police are investigating two suspicious deaths in the Fairlington neighborhood.
Police and paramedics were called just before 3:00 p.m. to the Park Shirlington Apartments on the 4500 block of 31st Street S. for a report of a 30-year-old female found dead. Medics arrived and reported a second dead body in the apartment, according to scanner traffic. Shortly thereafter homicide detectives were called to the scene.
Arlington County Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck says detectives are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman. He was unable to release any additional information about the investigation.
The last homicide in Arlington County occurred on March 14, 2010, when a man was stabbed to death in the Lyon Park neighborhood.
