7 Alexandria car dealerships burglarized since February (Video)

WASHINGTON – Alexandria authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding several suspects they believe burglarized seven car dealerships since February.

Alexandria detectives say several suspects were involved in the burglaries, and that one or two of them operates as a lookout while another two enter the dealerships.

From Feb. 27 through June 2, Jack Taylor Toyota was burglarized four times, police say. The first burglary attempt failed. The suspects stole cash from a safe in the other three incidents.

On June 28, two suspects hid inside Landmark Honda until closing, then attempted to pry open the safe. They failed and left without taking anything.

On July 9 and 14, the suspects hit Modern Motors. The first burglary attempt was unsuccessful. On July 14, they broke in through a bathroom window and removed a safe that contained cash.

Anyone with information is asked to call (703) 746-6804.
