This year's U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree, a white spruce from the Chippewa National Forest in Cass Lake, Minnesota, is scheduled to arrive at the West Front of the Capitol along First St. NW at 10 a.m. Friday, November 21. After it secured in placed, the decorating will begin!

Christmas on the Potomac at Gaylord National

Now through January 4, 2015, Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center is offering special holiday activities and displays. There are fountain shows and indoor snowfalls nightly, and the resort's Christmas decorations include a 60-foot tall Christmas tree suspended from the center of the atrium, as well as more than two million lights.

It includes Adolf Hitler's signature on his marriage certificate and will, an "X" signed by a slave who couldn't read, and a patent for shoes filed by Michael Jackson and others allowing him to do an amazing signature move on stage. Highlights include an anthrax-laced letter addressed to Senator Tom Daschle, handcuffs used on Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, and a touch table that lets visitors see if they can spot potentially dangerous mail.
