WASHINGTON – Three suspects have been arrested in Prince George’s County for a string of more than 50 burglaries since December 2012, officials say.
Anthony Edwards, David Neal and Jamal Cook allegedly stole guns, jewelry and expensive electronics, officials say.
During one heist, nearly $70,000 worth of jewelry was taken, police say.
“The crew was so confident in their abilities that they hit up the five houses a day,” says Capt. Charles Hamby with the Prince George’s County Police Department.
Officials were tipped off by a “concerned citizen” who saw someone selling televisions out of a car, Hamby says.
Police are working to determine if the three are responsible for other robberies in the area.
All three are from Oxon Hill and have been charged with burglary. Police say Cooke was released on $25,000 bond and Edwards and Neal are being held without bond.
