‘Stardust’ animation shows moving, artistic space scenes

WASHINGTON – There is a captivating, powerful beauty in the intersection of science and art.

Phil Plait, creator of Slate’s Bad Astronomy blog, writes that Mischa Rozema, a filmmaker, used the Voyager 1 probe as a lens to explore the idea that humans are destined to return to stardust.

Voyager 1 is currently heading into interstellar space, Plait says. Watch the video here:
