Virginia foods to be promoted at trade show

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Virginia oysters, ham and other foods will be on display at a trade show in Miami in October.

The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services says six Virginia firms will be exhibitors at the 18th Americas Food and Beverage Show. The show will be held Oct. 27 and Oct. 28 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Other Virginia foods that will be showcased include clams, peanuts and nut products, beef, naturally smoked cheeses, cheese dip, turkey sausages and bites, and smoothie mixes.

The department says more than 10,000 industry buyers are expected to attend the trade show. The show is for culinary products and services targeted to consumers in North, South and Central America.
