Health care business to expand Virginia facility

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — An affiliate of health care services and information technology company McKesson Corp. is expanding a divisional headquarters in Henrico County, creating 225 jobs.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe said Thursday that McKesson Medical-Surgical Inc. will invest more than $10 million to expand the operation that’s been in suburban Richmond since 1998.

It’ll relocate its headquarters facility to a building that used to serve as the headquarters of defunct electronics retailer Circuit City.

McKesson Medical-Surgical provides pharmaceutical and medical-surgical supply management, health care information technology and business and clinical services.

McAuliffe approved a $500,000 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund for the project.
