Virginia man dies in crash in southwestern Montana

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A 31-year-old man who recently moved to Montana from Virginia died when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a semitrailer in southwestern Montana.

The Gallatin County coroner’s office says 31-year-old Kevin Bailey of Belgrade was northbound on U.S. Highway 191 west of Bozeman when his pickup truck crossed into the southbound lane and into the path of a semitrailer at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the driver of the semi, a 45-year-old man from Blackfoot, Idaho, was unable to avoid the collision. He was not injured.

Bailey, who recently lived in Christiansburg, Virginia, died at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.
