NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A town house rental complex in Norfolk has been cited for more than 200 violations of the city’s building code.
City spokeswoman Lori Crouch tells media outlets that the violations include electrical, mechanical and plumbing problems.
Crouch says city inspectors issued 218 building code violations to the owner of Crown Point Townhomes.
The violations stem from renovation work being done at the complex without the proper permits.
Crouch says the contractor hired for the work isn’t licensed for specific trade work, such as electrical, plumbing and building. City inspectors reported the contractor to the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation.
