WEYERS CAVE, Va. (AP) — The pilot and passenger of a small plane escaped uninjured after their aircraft crash landed at Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport in Weyers Cave.

Virginia State Police said the six-seater Beechcraft Bonanza 35 was coming in for a landing Saturday afternoon when the pilot failed to put down the landing gear.

The plane landed on its belly and skidded about 150 yards before coming to rest on the runway.

Officials notified the National Transportation Safety Board.
