WASHINGTON — This weekend’s top concerts feature duets and trios from the ’90s.

Friday at the 9:30 Club, songwriters Aimee Mann and Ted Leo perform with their shared project, The Both.

On Saturday and Sunday at the Birchmere, the Richmond-based Pat McGee Band performs.

McGee emerged in the mid-1990s with a trio of independent releases that led to a major-label record deal in 1999.

On Sunday at the Hamilton Live, the Nels Cline Singers perform.

Cline is best known as the lead guitarist in Wilco, but his side project showcases his avant-garde, free jazz compositions.
