DC police investigate stabbing death

WASHINGTON (AP) — DC police are investigating the killing of a man found stabbed to death in the Northeast section of the district.

Authorities say police were called to 22nd and I streets about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

A man suffering apparent stab wounds was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim was identified as 52-year-old Alonzo Gregory Beasley.

The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.

Metropolice police currently offer a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202-727-9099.
