Authorities release new video of missing girl

WASHINGTON – Nearly a month after she was last seen, there is no sign of eight- year-old Relisha Rudd. But police released a new video on Tuesday that shows her in D.C. shortly after the previous last-known sighting of her.

The video shows Relisha with Kahlil Tatum at a hotel in Northeast just hours after what police had reported as the last time she was seen on Feb. 26.

Tatum, who is also known as Karl, is accused of murdering his wife, 51-year-old Andrea Denise Tatum. Her body was found at a Red Roof Inn in Oxon Hill last week shortly after an Amber Alert was issued for Relisha.

The new video shows Rudd wearing a pair of pink boots and a purple Helly Hansen jacket with white stripes. Police are asking the public to view the video and contact police with any information.

Tatum worked as a janitor at the D.C. General homeless shelter where Relisha and her family live.

D.C. police released additional photos of Relisha Monday and said the search continues. Amber Alerts have been issued as far north as Pennsylvania and as far south Florida.

There are separate rewards of up to $25,000 each for information that helps find Relisha, and for information that leads to Tatum’s arrest and conviction.

Anyone who finds or spots Rudd is asked to call 911 or the Command Information Center at 202-727-9099.

Anyone with information about the homicide investigation is asked to call Prince George’s County detectives at 301-772-4925 or call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
