Politics and Prose looking to name its NW neighborhood

WASHINGTON – Politics and Prose bookstore on Connecticut is working to solve an unusual problem: telling customer what neighborhood they’re located in.

The Washington City Paper reports the bookstore’s owners aren’t sure what to call their stretch of Connecticut Avenue, so they’ve decided to come up with their own name.

Store owners, Bradley Graham and Lissa Muscatine, are asking customers for suggestions on their website.

The City Paper lists some of the names suggested by customers for the store located at 5015 Connecticut Avenue in Northwest D.C.:

  • SoChe Short for South Chevy Chase
  • NeConn Short for Nebraska and Connecticut
  • Connfess Short for Connecticut and Fessenden
