Woman kidnapped, sexually assaulted in NW

WASHINGTON – D.C. police say a woman was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and robbed in the city’s Mt. Pleasant neighborhood early Monday morning.

Police say the woman was sitting in a car with a man in the 1500 block of Meridian Place NW about 1 a.m. when they were forced out of the car at gunpoint.

The man was assaulted and robbed. But the woman was taken nearby to the 1400 block of Oak Street NW. Police say she was sexually assaulted and robbed before her attackers fled.

The two male attackers were wearing all black and ski masks and both were armed with handguns. One was carrying a gray gun.

Police released an image of one of the robbers taken from surveillance video.

Investigators ask anyone who can help identify the attackers to call police at 202-727-9099. Anonymous information can be sent by text message to 50411.
