2 large, bull sharks caught not far from Point Lookout State Park

Two 8-foot long bull sharks weighing about 220 pounds each were found in fishermen's nets not far from Point Lookout State Park in St. Mary's County.

Area water, sewage systems to receive upgrades

Maryland's Board of Public Works approved more than $65 million for improvements to the state's water and sewage systems. The counties that will receive funding include Prince George's, Calvert, Frederick, St. Mary's, Wicomico, Allegany, Baltimore and Montgomery.
