Montgomery County has ordered its contractor to begin repairing major structural problems at the unfinished Silver Spring Transit Center and expects design work to fix other problems at the transit hub to begin soon.

Report: Silver Spring transit hub is 'severely compromised'

The opening of the $112 million Silver Spring Transit Center will be delayed again in the wake of an independent engineering report that found far more structural problems with the hub than county officials previously believed.
