Full closure of Dulles Access Road, Dulles Toll Road detoured

WASHINGTON – Between 9 p.m. Oct. 22 and 5 a.m. Oct. 23, there was a full closure of the Dulles Access Road heading westbound and a detour onto Wielhle Avenue. The closure was to facilitate work on the pedestrian bridge connecting the Wiehle- Reston East Metrorail Station to future facilities and the parking garage.

9 to 11 p.m.

The Dulles Access Road westbound was fully closed. The toll road heading westbound was detoured to the Wiehle Avenue exit and then back on via the Wielhle Avenue westbound entrance ramp. There were also 10-minute closures of this detour possible throughout the night.

11 p.m. to 3 a.m.

The access road was reopened but the toll road continued to detour at Wiehle Avenue.

3 to 5 a.m.

The full closure of the access road and the possible 10-minute closures of the toll road detour were back in place until 5 a.m.
