WASHINGTON - It can be so annoying forgetting where you parked your car -- but now there's an app for that.

Whether you're in a strange neighborhood or huge parking lot, there are smartphone apps that will digitally mark your parking space using GPS.

Then, when it's time to go back to your vehicle, arrows point you in the right direction. Or you can attach a picture, write a note or make a voice note reminding you of your space's location.

The Honk and the Park'n Find applications also can help you keep track of parking meters. As time dwindles down, you can check the expiration clock or have the app send audible reminders to your iPhone or iPad.
