BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore's oldest church is reopening after a three-month renovation project at Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

WJZ-TV ( ) reports the church reopened Sunday to the sound of trumpets. The congregation is more than 300 years old, and the historic building on North Charles Street was completed in 1856.

Now the church has a fresh coat of paint, brighter lighting and freshly buffed Tiffany stained glass. The renovations were so extensive, the congregation had to meet at the nearby Tremont Grand Hotel over the past three months.

Parishioner Dave Zellers says the church looks beautiful.

The Rev. Mark Stanley says the reopening was a long time coming.
