BALTIMORE (AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden will join Gov. Martin O'Malley to celebrate the opening of a new law school building at the University of Baltimore.
The building is named for John and Frances Angelos, the late parents of Baltimore Orioles owner Peter Angelos. He's a graduate of the law school and contributed $15 million of the $22 million in private funding for the building.
The multi-million dollar building was designed by architect Stefan Behnisch in partnership with Baltimore-based firm, Ayers Saint Gross.
In addition to Tuesday evening's events, other events this month will include a grand opening celebration featuring Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan.
The current UB law facility opened in 1982. School officials say that student enrollment has increased by more than 20 percent since then.
