BALTIMORE - Police in Baltimore are identifying a 24-year-old Navy sailor who died in a shooting earlier this week.
Police say Alonzo Gladden was killed around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday. Gladden was unloading groceries with his brother at the intersection of Marbourne Avenue and Mallview Road when he was shot. His brother was uninjured.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says investigators do not believe Gladden or his relative was targeted.
Gladden was living aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier based out of Norfolk, Va.
