BALTIMORE - Baltimore police say Molotov cocktails are to blame for fires that injured more than a half-dozen people.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi (goog-lee-EL-mee) says Molotov cocktails were found in a garden-style apartment building and a nearby northeast Baltimore residence on Wednesday morning.
One of the injured is a child, though Guglielmi says none of the injuries is believed to be life-threatening.
He says there's no evidence that it was a hate crime or that the victims were targeted. Detectives don't yet have any suspects and aren't sure of a motive. He says it's possible that it was a mischievous prank or something more serious.
Guglielmi says residents of the 12-unit apartment building have been displaced because of the fire damage and the ongoing investigation.
