BALTIMORE - One person is seriously injured and eight others have been taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries following an eight-vehicle accident in Baltimore County.
County police say the accident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Baltimore Street and North Point Boulevard in Dundalk.
The seriously injured person was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma. One person declined medical treatment.
A police spokesman said the accident was caused by a tow truck leaving its travel lane and striking the other vehicles.
The county police crash team is investigating the accident.
