DUNDALK, Md. - The owner of a crab house destroyed in a fire says she is determined to rebuild the restaurant.
Kim Ernst tells The Baltimore Sun ( http://bsun.md/RHuKy4) that despite the devastation the two-alarm blaze brought onto Ross' Crab House on Sunday, she can't imagine not rebuilding.
Ernst, who has worked at the restaurant since she was 13, estimates rebuilding will reach into seven figures. The original structure with its cinder-block walls have to be torn down. And none of the $100,000 worth of improvements that Ernst added as recently as February _ including new cookers and a freezer _ can be salvaged.
The restaurant has been open since 1960.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
