Trial date moved in ex-Lady Vols officials’ suit

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The trial date for a lawsuit filed by former Tennessee associate director of sports medicine Jenny Moshak and two ex-Lady Vols strength coaches against the university has been moved to June 23, 2015.

U.S. District Judge Pamela Reeves granted Tennessee’s motion to continue a trial originally set for April 21, 2015. Former Lady Vols media director Debby Jennings has a lawsuit against the university with an April 27 trial date. The school’s motion said having two trials so close together would create “an undue burden on the university and its counsel.”

In their lawsuit, Moshak, Heather Mason and Collin Schlosser say they performed similar tasks as employees in similar positions for men’s teams, but received less compensation because of their gender or due to their association with women’s teams.
