EDINBURG, Texas (AP) -- Brandon Provost had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Texas-Pan American defeated New Orleans 71-57 on Sunday.
Jesus Delgado added 14 points and seven assists, and Aaron Urbanus scored 11 points for the Broncs (15-15). UTPA heated up in the second half, shooting 61 percent from the field after only making 27 percent of its first-half shots.
The Broncs host NJIT on Saturday before playing in their final Great West Conference tournament. UTPA will be in the Western Athletic Conference next season.
Rarlensee Nelson led the Privateers (8-18) with 14 points. Cory Dixon added 10 points.
The game was New Orleans' season finale. Independent this season, the Privateers will be members of the Southland Conference in 2013-14.
