LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) - Jesse Sanders scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half as Liberty came back from a three-point halftime deficit to defeat Radford 69-64 Thursday night.

A layup by Sanders gave the Flames (6-13, 1-6 Big South Conference) their first lead of the second half, 41-39, with 11:38 remaining, and David Minaya's two free throws a minute later put them ahead to stay.

The Highlanders (3-15, 0-6) lost their 14th consecutive game.

Liberty led 62-52 with 3:08 left, but R.J. Price scored eight points during a 10-2 run that brought Radford within 64-62 with 42 seconds left. Sanders then hit two free throws for a four-point Liberty lead at the 10-second mark.

Minaya added 14 points and 11 rebounds for Liberty, while Sanders had eight rebounds and made 13 of 15 free throws.

Jareal Smith scored 19 points and Price 14 for Radford, which held an early 15-6 lead.
