UNDATED (AP) -- Big Ten athletic directors and football coaches say they have reservations about loosened NCAA recruiting rules that would allow unlimited contact between recruiters and high school players. The NCAA Board of Directors in January approved rulebook revisions that, among other things, remove limits on the number of phone calls and text messages to prospective recruits. Nebraska coach Bo Pelini said he's spoken with high school coaches who are worried that their players will be overwhelmed with phone calls, texts and mailings.

CINCINNATI (AP) -- Cincinnati Reds outfielder Shin-Soo Choo has accepted a one-year contract worth nearly $7.4 million, leaving pitchers Mat Latos (LAY'-tohs) and Homer Bailey eligible for salary arbitration. Choo hit .283 with 16 homers and 67 RBIs in 155 for the Cleveland Indians while making $4.9 million last season. The Indians traded him to the Reds as part of a three-team deal in December.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- The Golden State Warriors have unveiled plans to wear the NBA's "first modern short-sleeve jersey" for three of their remaining home games this season. The Warriors announced today that they will debut the alternate uniforms at home against the San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 22.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Indiana held onto the top spot in the men's AP basketball poll, getting 26 first-place votes after going 1-1 during a week in which four of the top five teams lost. Duke was the exception and moves up from No. 4 to No. 2 with 20 first-place votes. Miami got 17 and jumped from eighth to a school-best No. 3, just ahead of Michigan and Gonzaga.

BOSTON (AP) -- The snowed-out game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 25. The game was originally to be played on Saturday and was first pushed back from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. before being postponed because of the blizzard that dumped as much as three feet of snow on parts of New England.
