SEVERN, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County police say two stolen pit bull puppies have been recovered, and a man and woman are facing theft charges.

Police say they were contacted Friday by the owner of the puppies, who said a man who had come to his home two days earlier to ask about buying one of the dogs.

No sale was made, and the owner says he noticed the next day that the puppies were missing.

Police say they found the puppies Friday at a home in the 8200 block of Dunfield Court in Severn.

Two people, 21-year-old Ashley Thomas, and 22-year-old Tennese Koffa, were charged with felony theft. Police say charges are pending against a third person.

No telephone listing for Thomas or Koffa could immediately be found.
