ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Annapolis police arrested a man for burglary after they say he called them claiming he had been beaten and robbed.
Police say they found a bleeding 56-year-old David Christopher Barnes of Bowie about 4 a.m. Tuesday. Officers say Barnes told them he had been in a nearby apartment when eight men with guns kicked in the door, beat him and forced everyone out.
Authorities say officers when to the apartment, where the resident said she had come home to find Barnes and another man inside without her permission. She said the two men had been removed from the apartment by men in the community.
