Saturday - 9/8/2012, 12:51am  ET

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - A woman who was driving on a learner's permit has been found guilty of negligent manslaughter in a crash in Crofton.

Twenty-year-old Elizabeth Ramirez of Millersville was found guilty on Friday. The Capital of Annapolis ( http://bit.ly/QsNiFm) reports she will be sentenced on Nov. 19.

Prosecutors say Ramirez gave three friends a ride on July 30 and was on Davidsonville Road waiting for a red left turn arrow to turn green. Authorities say Ramirez thought the light had turned green and turned into the path of a taxi driven by 63-year-old Javaid Firdaus of Glen Burnie.

Firdaus was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
