US Route 15 reopens after fiery Md. head-on crash

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — U.S. Route 15 has reopened following a fiery head-on collision between a tractor-trailer and a car near Frederick.

The Frederick News-Post reports (http://bit.ly/11BHyTv ) that the car’s passenger was taken to a hospital in critical condition after the crash, just before 5 a.m. Friday. The truck driver’s condition was unclear.

Details of the crash weren’t immediately known. An investigation is underway.

U.S. Route 15 had been closed in both directions for a couple hours following the crash.
