Crime victims of Md. to be recognized at services

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Crime victims in Maryland are being mourned this weekend at statewide memorial services.

The services will be held Sunday in Anne Arundel, Prince George's, Dorchester and Frederick counties.

They mark the start of the state's observance of National Crime Victims' Rights Week.

More than 2,000 victims of homicides, vehicular manslaughter and missing crime victims will be recognized by having their names read.

The ceremonies will be hosted by local states' attorneys' offices and the Maryland State Board of Victim Services.
