FINKSBURG, Md. (AP) - Maryland State Police say a trooper was injured when his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer in Finksburg.
It happened about 8:40 a.m. Wednesday on Md. 140. Authorities say Trooper John Fair was traveling west when a tractor-trailer driven by 34-year-old Michael Curtis Street of Severn made a left turn from a business into Fair's path.
Troopers say Fair tried to avoid hitting the tractor-trailer, but struck its left side. He was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with non-life threatening injuries.
The Carroll County Times reports ( http://bit.ly/XkX7qh) that Street was charged with failure to yield the right of way and negligent driving.
