New Budweiser ad goes viral with puppy love (Video)

WASHINGTON — A new Budweiser advertisement is tugging at the heart strings of pet- and beer-lovers alike.

The ad captures the love between a yellow lab and an owner. Also, the commercial reminds people about the importance of not drinking and driving.

In the ad, the man and the puppy are shown growing up together. On one occasional, the man is seen leaving the house with a six-pack of Budweiser. The dog waits anxiously for the owner to return.

The owner finally comes home the next morning, apologizing to the giddy dog, saying he decided not to drive home after drinking.

“Make a plan to make it home. Your friends are counting on you,” the ad says at the end.

The ad was released on Global Be(er) Responsible Day, which encourages responsible alcohol consumption.

The spot is making waves in the online world, too. As of Tuesday, the ad has been viewed almost 10 million times on YouTube since its Sept. 19 release.
