Group pokes fun of D.C. region’s winter weather extremes (Video)

WASHINGTON — The D.C. region’s winter has called for shorts and flip-flops as well as hats and coats — and one group is bringing a funny approach to the teeter-totter temperatures over the last few months.

As the region digs out from Monday’s snow and anticipates highs in the 50s and 60s later in the week, video production group, Goldenbear released a mock news weather forecast poking fun at the differing weather that has hit the area this winter.

While the metro area hasn’t seen a “solar vortex,” “acid fog” or “turnicane,” the satire does hit close to home.
