Heading to the lion’s den at the zoo? Don’t dress like dinner (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON – Tip to zoo visitors: Don’t dress like the prey of a hungry predator.

Heather Baltzor found that out after bringing her 13-month-old son to the Oregon Zoo in Portland. Her son, Jack, was dressed in a black-and-white striped hoodie.

The hoodie apparently led a hungry lion to mistake Jack for a zebra. In video shot by Baltzor the lion can be seen pawing repeatedly at its glass enclosure, in attempt to get at the zebra-looking toddler.

At one point, the lion tries to get her jaws around Jack.

Baltzor tells “Good Morning America” the female lion named Kya singled out her son.

“The lions were just laying far away on their hill and there were other kids up there but when we put Jack up there she immediately got interested and very curious and came over,” she says.
