WASHINGTON - Finding a gift for mom is easy. But Father's Day takes some thought, especially if you want to avoid buying him yet another tie.

What's hot this year? Maybe you should buy a gift for the grill. It's the kind of gift that keeps on giving. And, you can never go wrong with a tech gift.

Grill Ideas:

  • Cuisinart has a 14-piece grill set for about $40.

  • The iGrill is a Bluetooth-enabled meat thermometer that communicates with Apple devices. The basic one is $100.

  • A Grill Daddy will make clean up easier. It's a steel-bristled brush that sells for about $60.

High Tech Gadgets

  • Dad can mash up a few tunes with the Gemini Firstmix DJ Software Controller. Look out. He could become a real mix master with this $100 toy.

  • You can't go wrong with iPad gadgets. Consider a two iPad-sized stickers with a family photo from erincondren.com. The cost is about $25.
