JESSUP, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police are searching for a man who broke into a home in Jessup.
Police say they believe the home on Montevideo Road was targeted and that the public is not in danger.
The crime occurred just before 2:20 Wednesday morning when a man believed to be armed entered the home. A woman who called 911 locked herself in an upstairs bedroom with two other adults and two teenage children.
Police say the man was gone by the time officers arrived. The family was found unharmed in an upstairs bedroom.
