She is also an adjunct professor at her alma mater, the University of Maryland, College Park. As a student at U.Md., she chased down stories for Capital News Service TV and received a student Emmy Award for her feature, "Prison Dogs," a profile on prison inmates who rehabilitate homeless dogs. She was a co-sports director of the student-run sports radio station WMUCSports.com and graduated with a degree in broadcast television journalism.
She spends the "other 8 hours" in her day playing with her baby - a Canon EOS 7D camera - and reading WWII biographies. Born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, she grew up a die-hard Eagles and Phillies fan, and because of that, she's learned to love yelling at the television.
