Megan Cloherty started reporting both on-air and for WTOP.com in February 2012.
Before transitioning to digital journalism, Cloherty spent eight years as a TV
reporter and anchor. She most recently reported on air for CNN Newsource in
Washington, D.C. and for the Fox affiliate WDAF in Kansas City, Mo.
Cloherty graduated from the University of Missouri in Broadcast Journalism and
earned her Masters in Interactive Journalism at American University in 2012. She has
also worked for NBC 4 in Washington, CBS London and in the House of Representatives
After living across the country for a decade, she is excited to be working in
Washington, not far from where she grew up in Bethesda, Md. Cloherty loves following
the Redskins, spending time with her family and keeping up with new technology.
She's also a big fan of her dog, Kelsey.
