4 arrested in UMd assault and robbery

WASHINGTON — University of Maryland police arrested four suspects they say were involved in a robbery on Nov. 9.

Yonis Dagoberto Cruz, 18, Luis Mauricio Flores-Morales, 20, Ulises Armando Flores-Morales, 19, all of Hyattsville, Md, and Steven Williams Cruz, 20, of D.C., are charged with several counts of robbery, assault, conspiracy to commit robbery and theft, according to a University of Maryland news release.

Police say the four men assaulted two UMd. students on Nov. 9 on the footpath behind the View Apartments around 3:15 p.m. The suspects stole personal property before fleeing into the woods.

Police say weapons were not involved.
