DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) - Court records show a man charged in the stabbing death of a pregnant woman had been sentenced to home detention following an assault conviction last year.
Prince George's County Police say investigators believe 22-year-old Nathan Cedric Rogers of District Heights is the father of the child. The body of 23-year-old Jasmine Nichelle Moss was found inside a vehicle on Friday. Police say the two had been in a relationship.
The Washington Post reports that online court records show Rogers was convicted of first-degree assault last year and ordered to serve home detention. Police say Rogers has been charged with first-degree murder for Moss' death.
