Reporter quits job on live TV (Video)

WASHINGTON — An TV reporter in Alaska quit her job in a very public way to she could focus on her goal to legalize medical marijuana in the state.

Charlo Greene, a reporter at Anchorage’s KTVA-TV, began a live TV report by saying she was the owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club. She said she would be dedicating her time to “freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing cannabis in Alaska.”

Following her statement, she used vulgar language to announced she would be quitting.

The station later apologized for the language and confirmed that Greene had been terminated.
