DALLAS (AP) - Texas Tech and TCU have agreed to deals with Fox Sports for expanded programming primarily on one of the network's regional carriers.
The multiyear agreements announced Thursday include one football game for each team on Fox Sports Southwest, Fox Sports Southwest Plus or Fox College Sports. Each team's game this year has already aired.
The deal will allow for the airing of live events in other sports, including some men's and women's basketball. The agreement with Texas Tech is through Learfield Sports, the school's multimedia rights-holder. Texas Tech's 30-minute sports magazine show is part of the agreement.
Fox Sports Southwest general manager Jon Heidtke said the deals show the network's plan to be "bullish on the Big 12." The network reaches 9 million homes in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas
Also this week, Oklahoma announced a 10-year partnership with Fox Sports to air games live along with original content in a Sooner Sports TV programming package.
