LONDON (AP) - The parents of Andy Schleck say the 2010 Tour de France champion has pulled out of this year's race after injuring his back during the Criterium du Dauphine this month.

Johny Schleck tells The Associated Press his son will not be able to ride for at least five weeks and is likely to miss the London Olympics as well.

Schleck's mother, Gaby, tells the AP that her son has a spine fracture.

The rider's team, RadioShack-Nissan, has called a news conference for later Wednesday and is expected to announce Schleck's withdrawal. Cycling's premier race starts June 30 in Liege, Belgium.

Schleck finished second in the 2010 Tour, but was awarded the title this year after Alberto Contador was disqualified for doping.
