MILLVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Ricky Taylor and Max Angelelli won their second consecutive Grand-Am Rolex Series race at the Global Barter 250 Sunday at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
Co-driving the No. 10 SunTrust Racing Corvette DP, the pair followed up their victory last month at Homestead-Miami Speedway to give the team a 20th Rolex Series win. The team is second in total victories in series history.
After starting on the pole, they averaged 95.681 mph, winning by 4.998 seconds over the runner-up duo of Ryan Dalziel and Enzo Potolicchio, who co-drove the No. 8 Starworks Motorsports Ford Riley.
Taylor and Angelelli led 91 of the 117 laps. Angelelli took the lead for good with about 12 laps remaining.
Points leaders Dalziel and Potolicchio retained their position atop the standings. They now lead Taylor and Angelelli 117-113 with one third of the season over.
No. 60 LiveOn Ford/Riley co-drivers Ozz Negri and John Pew finished third for their first podium since their victory in the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona and are only one point behind Angelelli and Taylor in the DP class championship standings.
