WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. United defender Chris Korb is expected to miss two to three weeks after having surgery on his left knee.
United said Wednesday that Korb had a procedure to repair cartilage in the knee.
Korb started 30 games for United last year, his third season in MLS.
United open their season Saturday against the Columbus Crew.
